As a member, I have access to all the Evolve chain gyms. Evolve Gym Constituyentes is my top choice for leg days, thanks to the many machines available for lower body workouts.

Despite being further into the city, this gym in Playa del Carmen is a diverse hub for fitness enthusiasts worldwide.

You'll find plenty of beautiful women with sculpted physiques and muscular gentlemen with impressive builds, making it a welcoming and inspiring environment.

It's worth noting that the boxing area tends to be quite warm since it's rarely used, and the air conditioning is typically off. I don't mind; I take the opportunity to sweat it out while working through my boxing routines.

The variety of cardio machines is excellent, including treadmills, stationary bikes, stair climbers, ellipticals, escalators, and more.

While the gym is equipped with machines from top brands, I have noticed that three treadmills have been out of service for weeks—either not turning on or unstable—which is quite disappointing.

Despite this, the gym still offers a solid selection of strength training equipment and a great atmosphere.

If you enjoy cardio workouts, I recommend checking the availability of the machines before your workout, as they can sometimes be unreliable.

The air conditioning works very well, and there's a lot of space; it's a massive place with many machines.

For example, I have access to all the gyms in the Evolve Fitness chain. However, I've noticed certain triceps machines here that I prefer for my workouts, which aren't available at the other locations.

Your All-in-One Gym Experience

The weight area on the second floor is vast and spacious, featuring state-of-the-art machines and a multitude of dumbbells and free weights.

The only thing holding this gym back from being better than others in the franchise, like Evolve Fitness 5th Ave and Evolve Xaman Ha, is that it doesn’t have a sauna.

However, the lower price helps balance this out. At Quinta Avenida, the monthly fee is 1200 pesos, while here it is 900 pesos. Overall, Evolve Gym Constituyentes stands out as one of the top fitness centers in Playa del Carmen.

No Fees, Just Fitness: Enjoy Free Parking

Unlike its older sibling on Fifth Avenue, parking is more accessible here. It's free and doesn't require a meter. However, finding an available spot during peak hours can be difficult.

The ample parking available, unlike Evolve on Fifth Avenue, provides a sense of convenience. However, due to its popularity, the gym is almost always fully occupied between 10 AM and 2 PM and again between 6 PM and 9 PM.

Nonetheless, you can park on the nearby streets. There's no meter in this area, which is very convenient, making you feel part of a thriving fitness community.

The excellent location on Avenida Constituyentes also surrounds the gym with various options.

There is a laundromat at the entrance, a pharmacy next door, and a poultry shop named "Los Dos Hermanos" if you're looking for protein after an intense workout.

Plus, you can visit Doctor Simi's pharmacy on Mondays for discounts on protein and supplements. However, if you come at night, it's advisable not to leave valuables visible to avoid break-ins.

While this doesn't usually happen in the area, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Like other gyms in the Evolve franchise, you'll find many trainers here if you want personalized training.

I’ve seen people here training in CrossFit, yoga, and calisthenics; the training you can pursue in this gym is unlimited.

When you go up the stairs to the second floor, where the weight area is located, you'll see a space featuring photos of the trainers from that location in Constituyentes and their respective phone numbers.

Additionally, Evolve Gym Constituyentes is open every day of the week from 6 AM to 11 PM, except on Sundays.

However, if you're a client of this location, you can access the Evolve gym on Fifth Avenue on Sundays, a grand gesture from the owners to ensure you get your workout in.
