The bathrooms are immaculately clean, and the lock system with daily changing codes proved valuable and convenient.

One great advantage of this gym in Playa del Carmen is that you don't need to bring your own padlock; the lockers have a daily updated password system, which I found very convenient.

The lockers are in the spotless restrooms, but please note that this gym does not offer a sauna.

Let's delve into the weight equipment: it's all brand new and gleaming. We're talking about machines from the top brands of the latest generation, ensuring a high-quality workout experience.

The air conditioning is icy, which is welcomed in this hot climate, especially during workouts. The place is not just spacious; it's expansive. I loved the decor, which included large images of Arnold Schwarzenegger on the walls.

Having the seven-time Mr. Olympia watching over me on the walls is a source of motivation and inspiration.

At the end of the gym, there's an area with kettlebells and plenty of space for exercises like burpees or jump rope.

Best Cardio Equipment at Any Gym in Playa del Carmen

World Gym listened to its members and recently introduced next-generation cardio equipment—probably the most sophisticated I’ve seen in any gym in Playa del Carmen.

Since I last visited World Gym a few months ago when it had just opened, the gym has improved in many ways.

The most significant change is the much-welcomed addition of cardio machines—not just any.

The treadmills are the most modern and high-tech I've seen in any gym; they almost look like they were designed for the Master Chief from Halo or a Spartan to train on. They're something special.

The stationary bikes also feel rugged and very modern. There are five treadmills, two electric bikes, two electric stair climbers, and two next-generation ellipticals.

One of the significant advantages of being located in Quinta Alegria Shopping Mall is the convenient underground parking.

World Gym in Playa del Carmen is located in Quinta Alegria Shopping Mall, at the corner of Quinta Avenida and Constituyentes. You need to go up to the third floor.

Additionally, the gym offers parking at Quinta Alegría Shopping Mall, which costs $20 pesos per hour and is located on the side of the shopping center, between Constituyentes and 10th Avenue.

This is more advantageous than other gyms in the area such as Evolve or The Gym, where the only option is to park on the street and pay a parking meter.

However, it is difficult to find a spot as they are in a tourist area and always crowded. Therefore, having the option of parking at Quinta Alegría Shopping Mall makes World Gym very convenient.

What are the Opening and Closing Times?

World Gym offers one of the most extended operating hours, opening at 5 am and closing at midnight, giving it an edge over the competition.

World Gym Quinta Alegría Playa del Carmen has one of the most flexible schedules in the city. It opens from 5 a.m. to 12 a.m. and accommodates a wide range of schedules for its members, which puts it above the competition.

For example, Evolve on Quinta Avenida, another popular gym, opens from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., and The Gym, one of the most well-known gyms, closes at 10 p.m.

We’ve all had busy days when an hour of training or not training can make a big difference in our mood. Squeezing in those 45 minutes of weight training can be crucial, so the fact that they stay open until midnight is much appreciated.

The hours from 5 am to 12 am are also very accommodating. On the other hand, the accessible parking available is a significant advantage.

The addition of cutting-edge cardio equipment, along with the excellent music and exceptional customer service, makes World Gym a serious contender for the best gym in Playa del Carmen.
